One Way Or Round Trip Ticket?

Recommended Posts

You should be ok. One-way ticket is no problem as long as your non-imm B is valid.

The "should" I put in, as the final decision is with the immigration officer who decides your entry. Obstacles could only be if the validity of the B for business is doubted.

Usually, hippie-type is queried. (Not my comment, rules in the books)

You should be fine, I have done it twice for a Non-O and once for a Non-B.

My tips for Immigration.

1. Dress well for the flight. At a minimum, wear a shirt with a collar, proper pants and shoes. Oh yes, if you have a beard/long hair go to the hairdresser and have a shave and cut your hair. Beards and long hair are uncommon here.

2. Before you land go and freshen-up. Use the mouthwash and deoderant. Think about the Immigration officer, all these foul breathed foreigners.

3. Make sure your Immigration card is complete and the writing is neat.

4. When you are in the Immigration line and are waiting never cross the red line until you are called. When you are called, smile and nod your head.

If you do this you will look polite and like you have a bit of class.

my non-immi-B was issued in October 2004, and I left Thailand for, lets say, at least 10 times after starting to travel on the VISA. never ever a single immigration officer wanted to see a return ticket or asked me anything else. And I usually dress just casual when travelling, a Polo-shirt and casual pants....thats all......

You should not need a r/t ticket if you have any type of visa in your passport (although believe at least one airline has heartburn that anyone be allowed to fly one way). With a retirement visa you are not expected to return so r/t would really be pushing it. Whenever I have had my visa status questioned, several times, have pushed it to next level and airline has agreed to let me travel.

I have been in and out of thailand on non-o, non B, and currently on a retirement visa for the past 20 years.

Never been asked to show a ticket out.

Crossing at many diferent boarders.

Always dress in long pants and a nice shirt and shoes.

Don't worry but ...:-)
