Yes, I used them few times from Istanbul to BKK.

I was very satidfied and most of my flights I could use 2 seats (surely on Xmas you can't because it will be full). I recommend.

I've flown with them from Istanbul to Bangkok & return. Wasn't that bad. I was in Business Class however, so can't say what economy class service was like. Service was average for business class. No problems with the plane/flight. Istanbul airport has just been rebuilt to upgrade the facilities (within last 3 or 4 years) and is up to the standard of most average european airports.

I fly with them frequently, not because I love them so much (they are number 50 out of the 50 biggest airlines when it comes to safety and accidents, and number 49 is far far away from them, so they will be the worse forever probably), but because its very convenient for me. They fly to my hometown in Germany, the tansfer time is jsut 75-90 minutes in both directions, and you can check in 30 KG even as a regular Economy-passenger (which was very important to me in the past). The flight IST - BKK is mostly 100% full vice versa, as IST is a perfect transit point for all Eastern European countries. So, last time, I found myself next to an Albanian, before that I had Russian and Croatian neighbors.....and a lot of Germans and French fly them too, as Turkish fly to almost any existing airport in Germany and many in France, so no need to head for Frankfurt by rail, for example.... The aircraft is a very new A 340, and the seating was comfoartable, even for taller persons. its a 2-4-2 seating. The food from my home town to IST was excellent, the food from IST to BKK was a little bit dissappointing, not from quality, but just a cold meal at night after leaving IST, and a modest breakfast later before landing. the service and the cabin crew was okay, cannot complain.

And the 180 or 360 day tickets are by far the cheapest one can get from my home town (Air France, Thai, KLM, or Lufthansa charge about 70-80 % more for such non-tourist tickets). of course, if I could choose, I would always fly Cathay or Malaysian, the best airlines in Asia..... THAI AIR ? no more...... not really safe these days.....too many emergency landing within a few months....
