Thomas_Merton
Schindler's List <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This film was a cold shower on the soul. Saw it on a sunny winters afternoon in Copenhagen - there was a shocking contrast of similarities walking through the streets afterwards. Architecturally Copenhagen is very similar to its neighbour Poland. But the experiences of the Jews in the two countries was so different. Thank God for the Danish organised Jewish exodus to Sweden that rescued thousands from the fate of the unfortunates in Schindler's List. And thank God for men like Oscar Schindler. TRIPxCORE
Most definitely it would have to be "Old Yeller". Its the story about a boy who adopts a stray dog, 'Old Yeller', and throughout the movie they get into all sorts of trouble with different animals and such with Old Yeller rescuing the boy. Anyway, the tearjerking part at the end is when the family is forced to youthanise the dog. Its the only movie that mad me cry.

chonabot
Jacobs Ladder , the part where he started to realise that his dead son never existed was a tear jerker. Another one that upset me was AI , Spielberg's philosophical fairytale centres on a young robot’s quest to be accepted as a real child and gain the love of his surrogate mother. A lot of people slated the film but the twist at the end is very hard to watch without a lump in the throat , especially if you have kids. Very similar to Pinocchio in fact. Same with that other one with Deniro where he recreates a couple's dead son and the cloned kid goes on tilt when he gets near the due date. Some things aren't meant to be messed with. RDN
"Madame X" 1966 - the version with Lana Turner and John Forsyth. Here's a review from Amazon.com: ".... I'm tatooed, a biker, into the leather scene, really nice guy but hardcore in all my endeavers.......But seeing this movie turns me to MUSH!!! I can not get thru this film without a serious cry. This is the ultimate cry film. Your heart, as long as you have one, will break by the end of this film.... " 'Nuff said!
