george
Isetan reopens BANGKOK: -- Isetan Department Store Thrusday reopened its 27,000squaremetre store at CentralWorld after being closed for 82 days, due to the recent political protests that culminated in the arson attacks of May 19. Company president Takeshi Ito said the unrest was the worst experience during the store's 18 years in Thailand. The store was not damaged by the fire, which destroyed much of CentralWorld. -- The Nation 2010-06-
andyww
This must rank as one of the dullest news items of the year: "Undamaged store reopens"
bkkjames
Can honestly say I have been in that store 2x in 11 years - never purchased a thing. Don't see this changing.
lazygourmet
As far as I remember, most of their clientele are Japanese on shopping spree package tours. Quite convenient, anyway to pass through, to avoid the heat on my way to Pratunam or Phantip.
padfoot
I am happy for the store employees. That is a long time out of work.

Also I believe on the second floor again within Isetan the Paris Miki opticians great service for glasses, very helpful and after sales service also great.
