T_Dog
The forum has been awfully quiet about this topic since almost two years ago. Has anyone ever gotten a true translation about what the law says about your wife buying property with a foreign husband's money?
Thaifan2
I am in the process of buying a house under the fiances name .It does not matter where the money came from .I believe it may have a few years ago ?Certainly my Thai Solicitor ( very experienced ) did not mention it . InterestedObserver
I am in the process of buying a house under the fiances name .It does not matter where the money came from .I believe it may have a few years ago ?Certainly my Thai Solicitor ( very experienced ) did not mention it . Fiance is the operative work here. Had you been legally married then you would have to declare the funds to the land office as being Sin Suan Tua, wife's personal property before marriage. lockman
When we bought our property they asked her where money came from; she had her own job and "earned" the money, so that was acceptable, not whether foreign funds or not.
