Cost Of Dental Treatment

Featured Replies

Just had a tooth out.

To fill the gap have been quoted about 5,000 Baht for a denture, 25,000 for a bridge and 50,000 for single insertion (new tooth anchored to the jaw bone)

Does anyone have experience and do these prices seem reasonable. Been to this dentist many times and always had good work done at a reasonable price ie fillings etc so I assume the above prices are about average but would like a second opinion.

Your prices seem pretty reasonable compared to what I've seen on the Internet at other clinics. Does the implant price you quoted include the crown?

Last week I went to the dental clinic on Suk 49 and was quoted 15000B for a removable denture, 50000B for a bridge and 120000B for an implant shock1.gif

I'm leaning more towards having an implant done to replace my missing tooth and will look at the other clinics for cheaper alternative

Yes the prices were for everything. 6 months ago I got a denture from the same place for 4,500 Baht and it is fine so I think your quotes are very high! I just don't want a mouthful of dentures but at that price I took it as a stopgap.

If you want to PM me I'll let yu know where my dentist is as it will certainly save you some money. Like I say this practice has been great so far and is not a cheap backstreet job

I don't live in Bangkok. I have just had an upper denture and lower denture made, one tooth on each. The dentist used some kind of plasticine moulds and sent them off to Bangkok. On their return he used his drills to finally fit the plates. They cost me B1000.

(ctnd) My point is that if the moulds were processed in Bangkok you could probably find cheaper dentists away from "downtown".

Mmmmm - the higher prices seem a bit high to me - it might sound whacky,

but if saving money is a priority, you could take a ride up to old Nong Khai,

where farang are not jumped on as 'cash-cows', and I will recommend a

specific dentist so you could have a check-up and compare prices - in my

opinion it would be worth the cost of a bus-ride (or...) for the high-end option

such as the implant. PM me if you would like the recommended dentist. If

there is nothing unusual about your treatment, perhaps you could get a quote

over the phone and save the trip up.

I think any dentist around sukhumvit would be a lot more expensive. Mine is about 3 or 4 miles from the centre of town and it seems prices are 1/3 of central prices. Same in the UK I guess. Harley st. would be hugely expensive compared to Average st in somewhere like Harrow.

Going to the north of Thailand is not on unless you have nothing else to do as most of these procedures take 4 or 5 visits
