Hi again, i think i need help in finding a hotel tht offers online registration in bangkok. I have a budget of 1000bts per night and hope to be close to a shopping area and skytrain. tks in advance for any help rendered

You might want to consider the 'Stable Lodge.'

it is just 100 metres up Soi 8 off Sukhumvit Road.

Just a few minutes to Department stores, bars, coffee shops, Nana Plaza etc

and the skytrain is just around the corner.

You can bring 'guests' to your room with no hassle and no extra charge, they just

need to show their ID card.

There is a 'very interesting' bar just 50 metres away called 'Lolitas,'

I'm sure you will like it

Rooms are 1,200 baht per night and they have a car to pick you up at the airport.

Check out AsiaRooms.com - I've had great success with them.

I usually go with the Holiday Inn on Ploenchit (near Gaysorn) for about 2,500 baht because it's the best value in the city. But for cheap hotels or guesthouses the site lists Ambassador for around 1,000 baht. That and City Lodge 19 are decent.

Your best bet might be unlisted Patumwan House near MBK (at the end of Soi Kasemsan past all the other guesthouses, like Wendy House which is nice and cheap but usually booked well in advance) has rooms for 1,000 per night or less. It's about a 3 minute walk from the BTS and, of course, near MBK. Their number is (662) 612-3580-99 or 026123580 if you're calling from Thailand. A simple phone call to reserve the room is usually good enough.

At one time the only hotels that cost more than Bt 1k a night were the Oriential,The Pen.Dusit,Landmark...Amari etc...but now its getting harder to find under the magic uno...however still some about at around 3 star rating....
