Indian man held at airport with 4.7kg of ketamine

SAMUT PRAKAN - An Indian man was arrested at the Suvarnabhumi Airport for allegedly smuggling 7.4 kilograms of ketamine worth Bt22 million, Custom's Office director Ekkalarp Rattanaruj said Monday.

Kalyanasuntaram Karup-paiyan, 33, who travelled from Chennai to Bangkok, was apprehended at 7am while trying to walk past the customs gate after officials found a bag of drugs in a secret compartment in his luggage. He was charged with the smuggling drugs and sent to the Narcotics Suppression Police for further legal action.

Its funny that in this post he was arrested and charged while few days ago when Iranian was detained-it was allegedly(even though he had drugs strapped to his body)

Now with so many arrests imagine how many do not get caught and mind you these are not small numbers.

But i do have to say, it would be nice if Nation did post all including Thai arrests, because if someone did not know it would appear as its only all the foreigners.
