English Learning Opportunites For Thais

Good afternoon everybody.

Sorry to drag you away from the weather.

I'm trying to compile a list of English learning opportunities (schools and others ) so that my Thai nurse ( I'm disabled ) can improve her English as much as possible during the rest of this year. The internet tells me practically nothing.

I am looking for your experiences with the various schools and private teachers.

I am interested in part and full time courses for a lower intermediate student.

I would be grateful for anything from gossip to course spreadsheets with times and prices.

Perhaps I'm not the only one trying to choose the best courses.

It just stopped raining.

Drat!

If your aid can maneuver the internet and has some English ability, there's a wealth of on-line programs.......some include video/audio/lesson plans/homework sheets. Search for ' free ESL materials '

I'd be interested in knowing a bit about your nursing arrangement. Costs, kind of care, quality, etc. You can PM me if you like.

The Bangkok post has an English learning section and publishs the Learning Post every Tuesday which contains word lists and extracts from the newspaper adapted for English learners.

Thanks for the info kokesaat.

Please let me know what PM means since I don't want to discuss my care arrangements in public. I have no objection to talking about them in private.

I was speaking to one of my thai friends the other day, and they said they had joined the Tourist Police, mainly for the reasons of that they provide English teaching and English learning opportunities for free.

Just another angle : )
