Fears for Norfolk man missing in Thailand

David Wood worked in the theatre business before his move to Thailand

Police are becoming increasingly concerned about a 31-year-old man from Norfolk who has gone missing in Thailand.

David Wood, formerly from Swaffham, moved to Thailand in 2008 but until recently had kept in regular contact with this family in the UK.

He has been reported as missing in the Krabi area of the country.

Norfolk Police said its officers are liaising with the Royal Thailand Police in an effort to locate him.

Mr Wood is described as 6ft (1.83m) tall, slim with brown eyes and shoulder length dark brown curly hair.

It is not known when he last made contact, but police said he regularly spoke with friends and family via telephone or Facebook and the lack of communication is out of character.

Very surprised Norfolk police are liaising with Thai Police. Missing adult cases generally do not get a police response unless they are deemed "at risk" people. Too many people choose to disappear by themselves and don't want to be found. "Liaising" probably means they sent a fax.

Ok please don't get too excited , but i did see someone today who certainly looked similar to this guy, normally wouldn't have noticed him but it was in a family mart on Samui near Lamai opposite Spa Samui next to Buddys  . There was a huge number of what looked like film trailers and trucks and something theatrical going on at Buddys resort. Obviuosly if this guy has a theatre background then maybe just maybe it was him. Not really sure but perhaps worth someone passing this information on to whoever

Hope this helps
