Pattaya Marathon.

I was thinking of giving the Pattaya marathon a go this year. I am not sure when it is held and if I have missed it. If anyone knows when it is held could you let me know. Also is it an actual marathon distance?

no, youve got a couple of weeks to train for it.

they are starting it really early at 4am before it gets too hot.

I dont start marathons before 7 am, I guess they will have to count me out this year

I don't blame you mate. 4am is ridiculously early. How are you meant to get a proper night's rest beforehand when you have to get up at 1-2am? Still the upshot is that if you are quick you can always get back in time for breakfast.

Thanks. I have now seen all the billboards around Pattya advertising the marathon.

I have had second thoughts and will probably do the half marathon, or maybe even the quarter. Such an early start doesn't appeal to me either.
