Employer Letter Of Support For Non-Imm B Visa

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Do you know what details are needed in a letter from a prospective employer to obtain a non-imm B visa.

My previous job in Thailand just ended and an organisation has expressed interest in hiring me.

I hear that I can obtain a non-imm B visa with a supporting letter and then need to do 90 day visa runs?

Which leads to my next question - can the application be submitted in Thailand or a neighbouring country - or do I need to head home?

Thanks for your advice.

In the region you will need a Work permit to get a 12 months non-B.

With a WP3 (applied for WP) you will get a single entry non-B.

With a letter of support you must go to your home country.

Try to get interested organisation to apply for a WP for you.

All of my Non B visas have been obtained in Malaysia at either Penang or KL, the question of having to return to the UK has never arisen.

Would this be the process -

1. Get letter of support from prospective employer in Bangkok

2. Visit Penang (or KL) to apply for non-imm B visa

3. Having returned to Thailand, apply for Work Permit

3. Get Work Permit.

4. Go KL (not Penang unless 8 million in registered capital) for multiple entry non-B visa.
