Comfort Chair

Is it for two persons ?    :o  :D

I guess you could be a little creative and try something new. :D

Actually, it's for making you sit in the right posture. My back is killing me at the moment, hence the reason for wanting this stool. I've found a couple of websites in the US that have it but they won't send overseas. I'm hoping it'll be easy to get one here...

Hi all,

I would like to know if anyone has seen this type of stool available in LOS. Thanks.

I've seen them in Japan but not here.

If it's foldable I think you can easily bring it with you on flight.

They do, however, sell Herman Miller Aeron chair here in Thailand. I saw one sold at 'Habitat' in Siam Discovery for B40,000+. I have one too (brought from Japan). :o

Mate of mine designs chairs and other sorts of Swedish torture equipment for the office. We quite often get his experiments to try out.

I have tried the comfort chair.

The theory is perfect: the back is kept upright by the positioning of the sitting area and most of the weight is taken by the knees thus reducing the strain more conventional chairs can place on the small off the back.

However there is one fundamental error found in most modern chairs and especially the comfort chair. No matter what chair you sit in - from super luxurious divans to beach deck chairs or hammocks - you will at some time become a little stiff from sitting, kneeling or lying in the same position for any length of time.

A good chair allows you to wriggle, change position slightly, and put the main weight on another point of the body.

This, in my experience, is impossible to do with the Comfort Chair.

The first hour might be fun, but the rest of the time in the chair is sheer agony.
