Natural Areas About 10-20 Mins From Central Pattaya

Featured Replies

hi all, i'm somewhat familiar with the ares between sukhumvit and the beach but really know nothing about surrounding areas.

are there any more natural areas surrounding pattaya, with say mountain views, open fields, green, clean air, low traffic, low B.S. but not too far from shopping and nightlife?

thx steve

Nong Nooch is a pretty cool place to check out. I am sure somebody can help here (Rimmer?)...there is that Buddha image on the mountain near Nong Nooch also...as well as a fairly large temple around a nice lake. You need wheels to get there.

This thread also has some great ideas.

Huay Yai. Go south on Sukhumvit, first set of traffic lights after the floating market take a left - enjoy!

The whole area south East of Ban Ampur is very nice, Phoenix Golf club area, Buddha Mountain and Silver Lakes and the famous temples at Wat Yan between Phoenix and Silver Lakes even over the other side of the 331 there are some very beautiful hills and open areas.

thanks, so i guess Baan Busaba would fall into that area on Soi Wat Yan?

what about around Pattaya Country Club area? nice? any social life in Khao Mai Kaeo area?

Siam Country road,up past the two train engines and carriages ,up toward the Bira race track but turn back on yourself just before reaching it,head toward the polo club and equestrian centre ,beautiful

Before and after that vineyard is nice walking, after is a small national park. There's a big golden buddha painted on the mountain side there, I'm sure someone will be able to direct you to this.
