I think most airlines are extremely uncreative when it comes to painting their fleet. I Give Nok credit for having a sense of adventure. I would love to get a shot at designing an aircraft paintjob.

Is this any better ??? KULULA is a low-cost South-African airline that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Looks like a child designed the Nok Air logo

Nothing wrong with a sense of humor

I love it they all have a sense of humor.

But the Swiss Air plane looks really good

I think goofy paint jobs absolutely don't belong on airplanes. It absolutely gives the impression they don't take themselves too seriously, which is NOT what I look for in an airline.

IMHO I thank Nok Air should take this award and use it to the MAX for PUBLIC RELATION. IT GREAT and so is their paint job.

thread headline:

'Nok Air Named 1 Of The 5 Worst Airplane Paint Jobs In The World'

as if it comes some official world governing body of airline liveries or mass global vote....

when in actual fact its just one dude's (Doug Lansky, a freelance travel writer & blogger based in Stockholm) own personal opinion.

hardly 'News' then is it? yawn...

(i like the paint job btw.. )

I guess since Jet Blue in the US has started to use the reports of an employee that jumps ship::lol: to their advantage on advertising. Why not Nok Air on this and their fine paint job?

Love number 3 of the South-African 1

Can't these guys find anything to write about ?

So long as Nok Air doesn't have one of the five worst safety records in the world, i don't care what their paint job looks like .

Fun and creative, not one of the worst. :D

I suspect that had the web-site known that 'Nok' meant 'bird' in Thai, they might then have understood how the paint-job was actually relevant, or are they merely suffering from 'Sense-of-Humour Deficiency Syndrome' ? God forbid that passengers should ever smile, or enjoy their flying-experience, send in the thought-police storm-troopers ! :D

I like Nok Air and their paint job. How about the stewardesses and their cute lil yellow Chinese collar jackets...it's narak.

Those people at Huffington are just hating.

And I can't see anything wrong with the ALASKAN livery either. I think some of these are one offs very much like the Qantas B747-400 'Wunala Dreaming' livery celebrating the aboriginal culture.

Rather have some personality than bland, boring paint job planes..Personally like Nokair's planes.

Yea, so what? Itt brightens up a usually dull & drab time at the airport. Good on Nok for having a sense of fun and achieving what was intended, a memorable livery. US Air has a conservative reassuring livery and yet it is one of the worst airlines in North America. TG has its standardized mediocrity which merely reinforces its sense of the lacklustre. Frontier used to have wolves and critters painted on its fleet. Total works of art. I don;t care what a plane looks like as long as it has a good safety record, is reliable and can get me from point A to B at an affordable cost. BTW, AA has a legacy livery and yet it faces one of the largest fines ever handed out by the FAA for safety violations.

Next please.

If they would delete that "Live Alaskan Seafood" number six would be on of the best painted.

I like the Nok Air livery and it's a pity that others can't be a little more adventurous.

That lime green South Afrcian livery is interesting.

I could care less how the plane looks. I want a nice smooth flight.

I took Thai a few weeks ago from BKK to Phuket and the plane kept making loud cracking sounds the whole flight. I thought the plane was going to split in two in mid-air.

Looks like Nok is going to get my domestic business, ugly paint-job and all.

Nok's planes are mostly leased from Thai..

I like it too and I am happy to fly on their planes.. Their ground staff can be a bit unprofessional but I've never found them rude.

A bit daft but as long as they don't paint it like that on the inside...
