Following The Fashion

Featured Replies

I have to admit, I just shake my head when I see some of the things that become fashionable. It seems that the same old stuff gets recycled every 30 years or so. Now its the 80's stuff is back with leggings and all making a comeback. OK, sorry but leggings were ugly then, they are ugly now. If you don't have fab legs they can either make you look like a preying mantis or a hippo.

And then there are the twists on recycled fashion, this is, apparently from Sienna Millers clothing line.

I bet they are really really expensive too.

I agree with you on those leggings, sbk. They look horrible even on a great looking gal with a good figure. They are what the kiwi anglers wear under their shorts to keep off the nasty, biting sandflies. They look just as ridiculous on fishermen, but at least they have a practical purpose... sort of like "long-johns" for minus 30 degree weather.

I may have an old pair of leggings hidden away somewhere with holes in the knees!!

Should I put them on e-bay.

"Hey, get the Sienna look for only 10 dollars"

lol..well, i think leggings are alright. I wore a pair of black leggings under a long fitted top a few weeks back and when i went to buy food at my local stall the young girl complimented me on my figure and asked if i go to the gym a lot. So..i was happy!

For me depends what you wear them with. I wouldnt wear ones with holes personally, but i think its kinda cool. Looks a bit dressy punky..haha. Guess im in the minority.

Patsy has some leggings she can sell you eek :D

I may just keep them for myself.

They are made out of strechy material so may still fit!!

I wear black leggings under a shorty short denim mini skirt I have, it saves my modesty & looks very good. The leggings only come to just below the knew though as ones that reach mid calf do funny things to your leg shape imo.

Ah, you're no fun, Boo. Girls in mini-skirts are supposed to wear thongs.

They do look nice with a mini skirt or a short dress or tunic over them, covers up my rather strangely shaped bum.. I agree with Boo, the long ones are horrible!! They make my legs look er um like wee sparrow legs and they make the larger lady look er emm even larger!! Calf muscles.

I found my old ones (in a bag destined for recycling), the only holes in them seem to be cigarette burns. Time to buy a new pair... and they are cheap!! At the moment two pairs for the price of one!!

Patsy feels a bit of retail therapy is in order.

Yeah my cropped leggings..just below the knee, have been my saviour for the last couple of years...with dresses and skirts etc. Wouldn't ever dream of wearing them on their own without a long top or dress though. Saw a girl walking down khao san road the other day in some and they were *ahem* revealing lets say. Not a good look...kind of like this....kellymain_524296a.jpg

Though my search for this picture, also brought up this beauty...SuperCamelToe.jpg

I've also got a pair of those!! I hate throwing clothes out, I should take my mother's advise and do a clean out twice a year.

here most women like to change clothes often so its easier to buy cheap and trash it after a year or so. ... everyone goes by trends, and in jerusalem area, black is the most popular colour... i clean out closets often, donate my clothes or pass them on to people that want them (here not everyone will wear second hand clothes -- cultural thing), then i like to take from the second stuff that otehrs put out in our second hand clothes collection box.... if i do buy clothes its from the main bus station or market... except for fox and tamnun i dont do name brands... actually, if i think about it, my whole house is second hand . i dont buy trendy but usually, in my price range, trendy is the only thing i can buy, once it reaches bazaar prices... however, i stayed away from tights.

here, women love that look that mssabai posted, only here, no one will wear colour. only black. even if they have rolls of fat they will squeeze themselves in to tights and go to work. even in government offices. with flip flops. i wish i had pics to post.

as i speak, my beautiful blond but rather 'zaftig' (full figure) 16 yr old is wearing:! grey tights and a tight skinny strapped grey tank top (the kind that look like laungerie...for tonite's religious new years' holiday!!!meal. oldest daughter is in dilemna since boyfriend has relgious parents therefore skirt and non revealing shirt especially one covering up her tatoos (they are ethiopian and have blue family tatoos on their faces but not the same as dragons across half your back)....oh the horror of having to dress modestly!!!

I had never seen leggings before as they arn't worn in california...leg warmers perhaps...then I got to London on the Kilburn high road in front of Sainsbury's and there was a stunner with magnificent equipment and she looked like she was nud_e!

my ex had a pair but she didn't have the right equipment (nice hips but no butt or good legs) and I remarked as much and it sent our young marriage spiraling... :(

Legging with kneeholes...I think the holes were meant to be in the crotch...

Cameltoethingies...oh please don't, it's so tasteless, keep it for home.

i know, lots of blablab posts... well its 40+ and baking desert winds blowing with fires in the area so bored at home (holiday) ....so i surfed all day

this is a blog from someone who is like 'fashion police'; she photos celebs on the streets...

the stuff u see them wearing, that is what most poeple that arent wearing the religous style dress, are wearing... go to page 3 and see some hhilarious bikini guys and some wierd shoes. and at the bottom, is the tights look that most women here in my area like to wear... along with some street photos ...

too bad no one here can read the hebrew cause she has hilarious comments about everything...

scroll down all the time to see the photos... as u all may notice, the fave colour for day and nite is BLACK... or shiny glitzy....

pay special attention to the pointy shoes that most of the guys seem to wear, as the writer puts it: uzbakestani style...

here because we are a small country, the kids here emulate these guys so a huge majority of boys have dyed blond short hair and fake huge diamond earing, tight shirts skinny jeans and pointy shoes...

the name of the blog in english is humos chips and chanel (i.e. very 'masses' trying to seem classy)...

as u may notice, lots of thai frills and little girl looks ....
