watutsi
Just completed my annual retirement extension, couldn't help but note the following; 1 letter from The Bangkok Bank stating the balance of my account : cost 100 baht 1 letter from The British Embassy stating my annual income : cost 2,408 baht Both letters virtually same amount of work. Now curious what other embassies charge for this service.
tijnebijn
The Dutch embassy charges about half of that amount . Siam commercial charged me 200 for the same service . Guess they just need a money maker somewhere somehow ....
CarlBkk
I fail to see how the Brit Embassy can explain away the charges for basic letters. Worked out on a time per hourly wage basis (plus some profit) it's still an absolute rip-off and should be regulated.
