can anyone help me out and explain the different classifiers for parts of the month i:e Sindern, Baidern etc...

I hear them all the time but get mixed up with what dates they mean

The different parts of the months are not usually called 'classifiers'. The term classifier is used for words which are obligatory when counting nouns in formal Thai.

sin deuan = (at the) end of the month

bplaay deuan = (at the) end of the month

dton deuan = (in the) beginning of the month

gklaang deuan = (in the) middle of the month

Sorry, I don't have a Thai keyboard here, but I am sure somebody else can give you these terms in Thai script, and perhaps expand on the issue with further terms. As far as I understand it, there are no fixed dates attached to these terms, they are as (in)exact as the English expressions above.

"เงินเดือนออกตอนสิ้นเดือน " Nguen Deuan Ork Dorn Sindeuan = Get your loan at the end of the month.

"เงินหมดตอนปลายเดือน " = Nguen Mhod Dorn Bplaay Deuan = No more money at the end of the month .

ต้นเดือนหน้าจะลาพักร้อน 3 วัน = At the beginning of next month, shall get 3 days off.

"กลางเดือนต้องจ่ายค่าไฟ " = Gklaang deuan Tong Jhaai Khaa Fai = Have to pay electric bill in the middle of the month.

เงินเดือน - monthly salary

The approximate date for each terms is;

ต้นเดือน - from 1st -10 th of the month

กลางเดือน - from 11th-20th of the month

ปลายเดือน - from 21st-31st of the month

สิ้นเดือน the end of the month (28th -31st), mostly used when talking about getting monthly salary date.

Right Withnail,Saothai meant you get paid at the end of the month, nothing there about a loan.

Sorry for making a mistake with the word "Loan ". As my head always using other language like German too , so I was typing too fast ( brain mixed up with the word ) . German word "Lohn "means monthly salary. Apologise for the mistake kha.
