Sorry to be a bore but I would welcome a hotel recommendation in BKK.

1. 1000-1600 baht per night

2. Good room

3. Good security

4. Near Skytrain

5. Pool/Gym not needed

6. Good food/restaurant

7. Quiet

8. Value for money

Best place in BKK is the Parkway Inn on Sukhumvit Rd (about 130 Sukhumvit Rd)

next to the Landmark Hotel.

Across the road in Soi Ha (5) Foodland supermarket have a diner called Took Lai Dee...I've not had a bad meal there in more than 10 years. Around the corner on Soi 4 you'll find all the night life you will ever want...So I'm told!

The Royal President on Sukhumvit Soi 15 is a good bet. Very large rooms and beds, small kitchenettes with fridge. Reasonably priced restaurant/bar. On my last visit they were charging Bht 1,750 a night including one buffet breakfast.
