Recently I ate at a Sizzler and an EatAmAre in Bangkok. While both have fairly similar menus, I found EatAmAre a bit more to my liking. The lighting was ok - not too bright. The food was reasonably priced and of reasonable quality. I've had Grab from them too. Also ok. I don't know if they serve alcohol. As for my recent Sizzler experience, while the prices are slightly higher you get a salad bar included (return trips if you want). I guess the menu of western food was comparable to the above place. What I didn't like (or expect) was the harsh bright lighting and the almost McDonalds-style of uncomfortable seating. It was also packed and really loud - I was the only farang in the place. The place didn't seem very hygienic either, especially around the salad bar. So unappealing environment overall. Customers all Thais, mostly young, but also some families with small kids running around. I probably wouldn't go back. Also, apparently, very few of the chain locations sell alcohol - the one I was at did - but only one choice of wine, served in single serving airline sized bottles. So not a 'steak house' if you get my meaning. Anyway, this is just a review. Maybe helpful.
