jayjayjayjay
1 post deleted, please play the ball not the man. Fair enough, but all said and done, if he had a work permit and social security (as governed by Thai law through his employer), then he would not be in this predicament. The reality is he was likely in the Boiler Rooms. I have lost many good Thai staff (pre-call centers, then leads passed onto the farang telemarketing staff) to these places as Chiangmai is becoming a new hub for them after Philippines appears to be less in favor. If others read this and understand the consequences of working without a work permit, and or working in a less than legitimate business, then maybe we will not see THAILAND shown in such poor light by farangs that seem to think it's Thailand's fault. Thailand has the infrastructure and rules to prevent the above from being a serious financial burden on families whether foreign or Thai.
