Ummmm.... What was the question again?

Koh Samed is a really nice island--- I usually stay at Ao Phai Beach next to White Sand Beach. There are a lot of good restaurants and they're cheap.

There is a long holiday next week so I reckon Samed will be very busy since its usually busy on ordinary weekends. Make sure you get there earlier so you can get a decent place to stay..

Have fun! :o

The beaches in Samed are really great- nice white sand and clear water. You can usually see your feet when the water is up to your chin. Nice relaxed atmosphere with most resorts being directly on the beach.

It will be packed full of Thai people on a long weekend. Seriously recommend that you reserve your accommodations in advance, or get there VERY early. Otherwise- you might end up sleeping on the beach.

When you come back DON'T get a little speed-boat to take you. It seems like a convenient service at the time - but when when you're at open sea in a tiny little boat that is bouncing off the considerable swell then you will wish you made the effort to get onto one of the larger boats

Hiya

Samet is very beautiful, I tend to stay further to the south of the Island and enjoy the quiet more tranquil beaches. To the north it tends to be very busy and in my opinion over the years has got a little dirty.

However a 15 min drive and your on some of the most beautiful beaches on the island, such as Ao Wai...

When i was there not long ago they told me the very south of the island is now becoming private and caters for the higher market...would be a shame to lose it to toffs.

Enjoy your trip :o

Avoid next week, the boats will be packed, the resorts full, and a lot of noise.Otherwise at any other times it a great place.

Koh SameT is a great place. Thats where i met my missus 2 years ago come the KINGS birthday. I used to stay at Ao Phai but the ;ast few times we stayed at Top Tim beach(i think thats the name). A bit further round. I agree this weekend coming will be very busy as its one of the main places the Thais go when they have time off. Partly one of the reasons i like it. not as many farang. Mostly farang who live here as the tourists MOSTLY head south.

Are there any hotel/resorts that offer transfer services from Don Muang?
