It is easy to start a business here and find success here in Thailand. With small amounts of investment you can find franchise opportunities with big potential here in Thailand that will not only provide you with a work permit, but a good living as well. Most of these franchises are easy to run too, in some cases you do not need to run them at all, just check on your business from time to time and make sure nothing is being stolen from you.

Restaurants

McDonalds - The thais know what McDonalds is and they eat there frequently. Although it is an expensive restaurant for the average thai, the more affluent thais will eat there frequently, hang out, search the internet etc. Although you see a number of McDonalds around Bangkok and the tourist areas, there are vast areas in Thailand with no McDonalds, which presents an opportunity for you. In addition, McDonald's will provide you with a sound market analysis of the area to make sure that it is a viable business. McDonald's are not cheap to establish, so it is advisable to have at least 750,000 USD in free capital before you start.

Subway - Subway has not had the success in Thailand that you see in the US or other places. This is in part to the fact that the average Thai finds a subway sandwich really expensive and it does not meet their usual food choices. That being said, subway has found some limited success in Thailand with limited locations. Subway, is only advisable as a business in areas with a large foreign population that will eat at these restaurants, which means the good restaurants are limited. Typically, a subway franchise will cost you around 100,000 USD for the franchise rights, then you will need to have 500,000 in the bank to run the business and set up the business.

Retail Store Chains

7 eleven - If you have ever been to Thailand you will notice there are 7 elevens on every corner. It is an extremely popular store here with the Thais, there are still some limited opportunities with a 7 eleven, but you will have to spend a great deal of time researching locations. You will not get a lot of help from 7 elever corporate on this indeavor and their is a host of these stores that do fail in bad locations.

Wholesale food Chains

South East Asian Foods Co. - This is a interesting franchise with big earnings potential, but a small initial investment. The company sells non-spoilable food products to restaurants and grocery stores located in the Bangkok area at the present. Almost anyone can afford the start up costs for this operation and their pay as you grow philosophy means that you only pay for today what you need today. In most cases you will need only a small amount of start up money for down payments on franchise fees, I think they will offier 95% financing on the frnachise fee. The company will assist you with everything from hiring and firing to monitoring your business if you are out of town and each franchisor will only buy the districts in Bangkok one franchise per district, which means that you have some big earnings potential for each district.

Finding this business may be difficult, I was not able to find them on a internet search mainly because they are small. They are a listed company in Thailand, which is how I found their information. Unfortunately due to the fact that they are small, this company does not have a findable website. I reached them through their office number in Thailand. +66 2-722-4453, they also have a US number through a sister business that you can use +1 865 622 3239. They are still small, which can create problems, but it also can create good opportunities as well.

Obviously with each franchise you will need to pay for your own living expenses while your franchise gets started, but if you are looking for a change to Thailand, looking to increase your revenue in a time when jobs are hard to come by. This might be a good more for you. Come live the dream in Thailand.
