I must admit... even though I wouldn't be anywhere else right now... I do miss certain things about my homeland (Orstralia) like 1. Avocados 2. Good wine at a reasonable price 3. Bad jokes

Anybody else missing anything in life???

Me? I miss rollerblading in lord Stanley's park on a summers day (anyone seeing the beautiful women in Vancouver esp in the summer might agree;) or skiing huge bumps at Whistler in the spring, whilst derailing those annoying "fashionista" snowboarders right over a cliff

Can agree with all of the above- especially Stanley park on a sunny day. Unfortunately, the traffic in the park on a sunny day would make me homesick for BKK!

I miss my twice weekly trips to the Jungle Bar on the Soi just off river Kwae road. H would cook me up a steak and kidney pie, or mince meat sometimes, that he bought over in Hua Hin, and we´d sit and chat for hours.

Those pies were brilliant.

Actually, shortly before I left, I heard that the original Pie makers were selling their business to someone else... This is a bout a year and a half ago. ANybody know somehting?

Don't know about those pies.... but there are a fewAussies' on Phuket making brilliant pies. maybe you can get them mail order?
