daithi
I was in LOS this time last year, and I noticed every time I used my Credit Card at an ATM The banks charged me 150 baht for every transaction. This only encouraged me to take out larger amounts, and I did not feel very safe carrying around a lot of cash. Is it still 150 baht per transaction or has it increased. is there anyway around this Charge. The Euro is 15 % lower then last year. I come to Thailand because it is good value with all these extra costs, I think this will be my last trip.

Lite Beer
Still 150 Baht. If you can find an Aeon ATM they do not charge.
rheinwiese
Yes, the ATM transaction fee (150 Baht) is still in place. No increase though Matter of fact, the Euro is more than 20% lower compare to last year. Had friends here in November 09. I recall the exchange was 49,60 Baht= 1EUR. Todays exchange rate: 38,80. Do the math. :jap:

Why do we have to go through how exchange rates are set on ATM withdrawals at least once a week???

KCM
Still 150 Baht. If you can find an Aeon ATM they do not charge. Yes, but what exchange rate do they charge? Every time I have used the Aeon machines I get charged 80 Baht. It doesn't show on the receipt but it is deducted from my account. Also, CitiBank machines charge around 80 Baht instead of 150 if you can find one.
Thighlander
I got 2000 from an Aeon ATM (3rd floor airport plaza CNX) on Sunday with my HSBC(US) ATM card. It cost me 66.66 usd, but unfortunately HSBC added on 1.50 us. I may get a rebate on that. Without the 1.50 us fee; it appeared to be 2.5% less than what they would have given me for a 50 or 100 Dollar Bill.
