Uk Settlement Appeal, Anyone On Appeal

now I appreciate that not everyone who is involved in this visa lark is not on this website but as I have previously posted my fiancee and myself have been waiting for a decision for our appeal to the fiancee/settlement visa that we posted in April this year, just wondering if anyone else is in a similar position?

According to the ECO's at the embassy these are done on a first come first served basis(Ihave the email of them quoting that)

So anyone apart from one member who I have been conversing with waiting?

Incidentally the member who I have been conversing with not only applied after me, appealed after me but have had their decision for several weeks now, good luck to them but we are feeling kind of cheated.

i've been a bit of a leper on this board with regards to the situation we have been in, I just hope anyone else on here doesn't have as long a wait as we have had, appealed April this year after a rejection in March.

Well I had the early morning call from my agent who sent me this

Dear Mr.XXXX,

Thank you for your e-mail and also fax.

I would like to inform you that the appeal has been overturned by an Entry Clearance Manager on 13 September 2010. I have contacted the applicant by the mobile number was given on 15 September but unfortunately her mobile switch off so that I cannot reach her. However, I will contact her again today and let her know about the required documents to bring in to collect her visa.

well as much as I am happy about the decision again this establishment lets itself down, that visa was apparently granted last Monday? also theres contradicting words within the email, if the visa was granted on 13th then who did they speak to on the 15th???

Why did we have to wait a week if this was decided Monday 13th?

Nit picking I am, but it's been a long hard slog waiting for this, absolutely kept in the dark all the way and treated with the utmost contempt!

Anyone out there on appeal, take note as this is how you get treated!

Thanks mate, it's been hard not listening to them voices along the way....the doubt going through my mind was quite frightening as I am not that kind of person in day to day life!

Anyone out there who thinks it's not worth using an agent, I thank my lucky stars we did as although this took a long time to get over turned and at times felt like was banging my head against a brick wall, without that agents knowledge it is probable that we would have just applied again, paid out more money and who knows what the out come would have been?

If you haven't got the time to spare well even if you have it is well worth it in my opinion...

after all the agency we used was never at fault....just that bloody embassy:blink:
