Next Thuersday and Friday most bars are closed in Bangkok.

Will Pattaya be more relaxed?

Nearly all bars in Pattaya close for Buddhist holidays.

However I do know of a couple of go-go bars that are open every holiday(lights off outside but dancers and everything in full swing inside).

I won't post here for fear of drawing unnecessary attention to the places.

Every time I have been in Pattaya during a Bhuddist holiday there was always bar beers open selling beer in tea mugs. Haven't been down that way for a while but I'm guessing they still do.

I'd be very interested to know of any places that'll be open Thursday/Friday in Pattaya as I'm going down on Wednesday night for my birthday and staying untill sometime Sunday. I pressumed that Pattaya being Pattaya it wouldn't be as closed as other places in Thailand.

As Wanraya says there are 2 gogo's that will probably remain open.

We could tell you then we'd have to kill you.

Blues Factory is closed 20th, 21st and 22nd.

Bars close, but only lights.. Some places have, I guess made a deal with local authorities??, and still keep the music pOunding as well.

Withnail, you want to keep open all night? Rent a motorbike or even a Baht taxi for the night, to take you arond the town (It's not that big) and you'll have a blast until the sun burns your skin

I was pressuming that I'd find somewhere if I looked hard enough.

Although there may be a beer or two in it if someone could give me a few pointers as to where to look

I'd like to know also, please. I'm flying from the UK today and upto now i've always missed the Buddha days. Can someone pm me if they know of somewhere that is open.

I was in Pattaya for the last Buddist holidays. Not a problem finding a drink, I think we ended up in the ###### complex drinking beer out of glasses with coolers round them. What a great disguise, MI5 would have been proud.
