Siem Ream Accomodation

So I and my wife might be going to Siem Reap for this long holiday weekend (return flight still on waiting list). Do you folks know of any clean, reasonably priced hotel/guest house (US$40 - 60 range) in safe neighborhood with easy access to Angkor Wat and other major tourist attractions?

Thanks for the links, Bambi :o

I do have a guide book myself (Japanese), but there are so many to choose from!

Where did you stay when you were there? Is it not recommended or way upscale for my budget?

Also, I tend to carry big cameras when on trip. How safe is it walking with expensive cameras dangling from my neck in Seam Ream? I don't have to worry about getting mugged do I?
