Ona 0
Hi All. I need some advice please to do with my husband's Non-B visa. His visa and work permit are due to expire on 30th September. We are planning to move back to the UK for good. The hubby is travelling to the UK on the 10th Oct. He was thinking of going to the border to get a 15-day stamp on 1st Oct but I thought we might be able to get something done at the local immigration office without having to travel that far. My questions are: 1. Can my husband change the visa type from Non-B to Non-O 60 days visiting spouse (I am Thai)? 2. If so, which form should we be using? 3. Do we have enough time to apply for the 60 days extension? Thank you. Edited September 17, 2010 by Ona
Mario2008 3566
No problem, he can just apply for the 60 day extension during the last 30 days of his current permission to stay, so right now. He has to use the same form as always, only now he fills in for reason of visiting you, instead of work. Better call immigration before you both go, you have to join him, to see which documents they want to see. it divers a bit per office. He gets the extension the same day, starting on the 30th. Thank you Mario2008. You are a Super Mario (my favourite game ) That's great. I will give the immigration office a ring tomorrow. Ona
