In 2 years I will be 65 and hoping to get an Austrlian pension while living permanently in Thailand.

I have phoned the Australian consul twice and got the "we will ring you back" service and they havn't. I looked at the web site and it doesnt give much info unless you apply. Can anyone tell me, as I have heard that there is a problem, the current situation. As Thailand and Australia have recently signed off on new trade agreements and are cuddling up to each other that the path might be smoother. I can understand having to go back to apply but is it payable here and if so how much ? Any help would be appreciated.
