Pattaya One hits the streets on 1st October!

The first edition of Pattaya’s newest publication, Pattaya One, will hit the streets on 1 October 2010.

Costing just 15 Baht, and coming out on the 1st and 16th of each month, Pattaya One is packed with content and features by the best writers in Pattaya and Bangkok. It is expected to quickly become the most popular publication in Pattaya.

Pattaya One’s sole emphasis is on entertaining its readers with high quality content.

Howard Miller from Pattaya One commented: “We have superb content, for example: Nightmarch, A Fool in Paradise, Pete’s Peregrinations, a column by Bangkok’s renowned writer Stickman, a new column focused on internet forums, Handy Andy, Kris and Noi, the first dedicated gay column in Pattaya’s mainstream publishing history, a real estate section, Travel features, historical features, a medical column, an intelligent golfing column, and much, much more. So much more that we cannot even fit it all in the first edition as we have had to make room for the phenomenal advertising take-up.”

Looks like it should be an interesting read. Any idea yet of the price yet, will it be 25 or 30 Baht I wonder?

I had a browse through the latest Pattaya Today yesterday, and they've changed to a new layout and different fonts and so on, but interesting columns or articles were sadly lacking.

If I have to read Pattaya Mail any more I think my sanity will be at risk, so fingers crossed that Pattaya One will be as good as it promises.

It certainly looks good, and it seems most of Pattaya Today's writers are in it.

I also wonder what this cryptic reference is to, my guess being either Thai Visa or another Pattaya website have bought shares in the paper? That would be an interesting crossover, for news (Howard's news site) content (Pattaya One) and Thai Visa (Online readers).

“We also have a very exciting joint venture announcement with a highly respected Thailand website, details of which will be made public later this week”.

Must admit bought Pattaya Today yesterday ,not much in it now ,so good luck howard .....does anyone know what happened to The Walking Street Jornal?......that  was a good funny read..

Print version of Pattaya One website which is a rather boring read.

It absolutely is not a print version of the Pattaya One website. It is something completely different!

The Walking Street Journal just got up and walked away.

I heard it had production problems because of personality issues between the owner and the editor, and also it had problems getting proper (as opposed to free)advertising because of the nature of much of the content, sometimes amusing as it was to readers, advertisers often had problems from their customers because of the downright offensiveness of much of it (when looked at from a "Thailand-sensitive" perspective).

It was a brilliant flash in the pan though.
