I feel for the citizens of France, in that they are a free nation who has been taken advantage of. Islam is a religion with an agenda to convert the World to their faith or at the very least to force those that do not convert to adhere to Islamic law.

This kind of attitude by any religious group can only lead to conflict because there will always be those who are free thinkers that do not wish to change just because someone else says so. It is for this very reason why there should always be a separation between church and State. All religions should be allowed and they should all be treated equally by the State, with no single religion being given privileges above another. States without such laws are doomed to endless conflict and war. In fact if you think about it, almost all the wars during the past years have their roots in conflicting religious views. Millions have died in the name of a God of one belief or another, for the sake of civilization’s continued existence we need a World in which religion and State are separate.

The French did not liberate there country at all, half of the rest of the world did. but anyway, thats nothing to do with what is happening there at he moment. I feel very sorry for them, its pretty scary how Islam is slowly taking over the west. I think it should be stopped now before it gets worse.

only problem is, can you imagine the wrath we would have to put up with if we did try to send them back to there countries? so all we can do is try to live side by side which nearly is impossible for us both!

the sad thing is, our fathers and fore-fathers fought in two great wars to give us freedom, what they fought for will soon be lost.

I hope the French do ban the Burka. these guys have got to learn to live with us and not make us live with them!:bah:

Well said Onnut.

But I really think we all should be a little more tolerant......

I am appalled that so many of my friends are against the mosque near Ground Zero. We should allow it in order to promote tolerance.

I also propose that two gay nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque to promote tolerance in the mosque. We could call them "The Turban Cowboy" and "You Mecca Me Hot".

Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork and have an open barbecue with pork ribs, and across the street a very daring lingerie store called " Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret." And next door in flashing lights open an Adult Toy Shop. I think for the purpose of tolerance we should build accordingly around the Mosque.

GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!

Sounds good John. But I would have preferred that the world's biggest mosque be built on exactly the same site at the old world trade towers and for right wing lunatics to not have a word to say about it. Now, THAT would be tolerance. The NY mosque issue is ridiculous.
