Mumbo Jumbo
Ive posted this on the real estate section but no luck, can any one help with some info...... Sorry if this subjuct has been posted before, ... Myself and Thai Wife have just been to our local Ampur to see what we need to do about getting a new house book for the House we are going to build, I asked if my Name could be included on the New house book, ...? along with my wifes, ( like Mr & Mrs XXXX) The Guy was very helpful , he said he did not know ( this is a small Ampur out in the sticks ) so he made several phone calls to Bangkok and came back with the answer no I could not have my name included on the new house book, ...but if I provided him with a list of things ( marriage paperwork, etc ), and copy's etc I would be issued with a " new Yellow " house book for the same new address...? Can any one please explaine just what this "Yellow House book " is all about...? Many Thanks ....... Mumbo
johna
Yellow house registration book is for foriegn nationals, why they should be distinguished by this I do not know. I have this book myself as needed to prove I had a permanent address to a embassy before they would give me a visa. Also I was asked to prove I had a return ticket at a European airport before they would let me board a flight, I showed the check in lady this book and told her I lived in Thailand, she let me board the flighte, other than that this book is totally useless. Firefan
Generally the more official docs one can get, the better one is of I think. Even applying for internet/telephone Etc. is a hassle when not having the famous working permit... So that book could still be interesting; how much/what docs needed and where to apply? Presume not just for houses but for condos too. Cheers!
johna
You must get a translation of the information page of your passport, appopriate stamp from your embassy or letter sayin this is a true document. Any of the translation agencys around Plonechit/Wireless Road can do this. Take the house registration papers of the house you are now living in to your Ampur and request your name be entered on this document. Outside BKK they may not have much experience with this, it took me approx 5 weeks and 4 visits to finish. There was no charge from the Ampur, if I had given money it would have been finished quicker. dutch
Add to it the following(happened to me). I was questioned by the official and a report was made of the whole. There were the same reports from 2 witnesses to be made. Each report had at least 10 questions. It was all very easy and relaxed
