And yet, I've had excellent, affordable care here, over the past 20 years. Using both govt & private facilities. Choose wisely, like anywhere in the world. Same as USA, with limited care needed there, but also has it's share of quacks. I never understood medical tourism, as seems high risk, along with expense of flights & hotels. In Thailand you'd be using private hospitals anyway, not inexpensive govt hospitals, unless staying for quite some time, as Qs for most things are very long. You'd have to come from a really crap healthcare country, if TH was considered a better option.
