awtrez
Anyone ever eaten any rhubarb in Thailand ? If so, is it the same vegetable which can be found in Europe ?
Goldenbead
At one time you could get it in Phuket for a very high price at a place near Chalong but that place has closed now unfortunately. I haven't seen it anywhere else.
cmsally
Occasionally see it in Chiang Mai, but tastes very bland. Can get rhubarb pies in Rimping , Chiang Mai again very bland. The rhubarb in Europe has much more flavour.
BambinA
you can find" Rhubarb" in some season here, you can find at "Royal Projects market" ,"Doi Kham" product In the case of Thailand, many of these vegetables and flowers are not native to the country but neither are they imported! They come to us, in ever greater numbers, from what are called the Royal Projects. And "Doi Kham", on the outskirts of Chiangmai, is a central office of such Royal Projects in Northern Thailand Bambi
The Dan Sai Kid
I know it's not the same, but mangosteen has an approximate taste to rhubarb - without such a vile taste
