Films Made In Thai With English Subtitles

I''m trying to find some as part of my learning Thai. I find that if you get say an English or Korean language film, change the audio to Thai and English Subtitles, then the Thai is very difficult to hear clearly. I think it's because those that do the voice overs are probably in a studio.

I've found that movies that have Thai subtitles are more useful for learning since you can read exactly what they say and look up the unknown vocabulary. But, to answer your question:

Movies with Thai and English subs

Faen Chan (new version w/ red cover)

Dream Team

Last Life in the Universe

English subs only

Romantic Blue

SARS WARS

(there are a bunch more but I just moved and they are still packed away. These are the only two I could remember)

If you search "Thai movie" on youtube you will find a bunch of Thai movies w/ English subs.

And here I thought it was because the "actors" doing the voiceover were completely bored and in a hurry because they got paid by the word without respect to accuracy and God knows without any thought being given to feeling!rolleyes.gif It's very interesting to me that Thai voice overs of Korean soap operas are full of feeling. And, in fact, if you don't lip read, they sound almost like real actors at work. But English voice overs in my experience are read in a complete and absolute monotone. I can't personally stand them. Moreover, I think the Thai that is used is often stilted and uses words and phrases that one never hears in real Thai dialogs.jap.gif (Apologize for the conglomeration of fonts. I just can't seem to get the formatting drop downs to work on the TV site.)
