Opportunist Thieves Go To Work In Local Disco

Featured Replies

As the Lights go out in Pattaya, Opportunist Thieves go to work in Local Disco.

In the early hours of Tuesday Morning many of us experienced power cuts as Pattaya experienced a sustained period of driving rain. This tourist from Holland and his girlfriend Khun Waree aged 25 were inside a South Pattaya Disco at the time of the power cut along with another Dutch friend. As the lights went out it appears that an opportunist thief went to work and stole money from the three club-goers. Between the three of them a total of 30,000 baht in cash was stolen. Police logged the complaint but informed the victims that an investigation into the case would be both difficult and unproductive but they promised to contact the disco concerned to find out if any members of staff saw anything.

Powercut was around 3 AM I believe :o Which means they were not in a legally open disco, and why do people carry so much cash??? A draft of Chang is only like 50 BHT in a girly bar... :D

30.000 BHT..... NAH :D

Yep , that is asking for it again ... Would he go out in Holland with 600 euro in his pockets ???? Or , when you put the standard of living in , let's say 1200 euro ??? I think sooner or later you face the same problem at home .

Holland :o 30.000 bht :D I hope they didn't intend to buy anything grassy :D

30,000 Baht! Not with the "cheapo's" here in Pattaya! More likely---3,000 Baht

Was the money held by just one of them or were they 'going Dutch'

Maybe they were both clogging the same girl?

And where were they keeping this money, in their shirt pockets ? They don't mention having their wallets stolen.

Maybe it was in their pockets, and when the lights went out, they felt a hand slide into their pocket, and thought they were getting felt up by a horny (but sweet and innocent) farm girl ?

Or maybe the figure was "inflated" a bit for the insurance claim....... :o
