Diabetes Type 1 In Los

My son is 26 years old. He has been coming to Thailand on and off since he was 14.

He loves the place, the people and the culture,

It was his dream to come and live here once he had got himself a trade and saved enough money to get himself established.

About two years ago he became diabetic (type 1). He has to inject insulin 4 times a day.

It has taken him most of the last two years to come to grips with this because the poor bugger had other health complications to deal with at the same time along with the thought that this may shatter his dream of moving to Thailand full time.

He has fought his way back to an even keel and is coping well, but is still feeling down about there being a question mark over his move to Thailand.

In the UK he gets his insulin from the good old NHS but how would he fare in LOS?

Is insulin readily available in the form he’s used to? (those pen type containers that inject just the right amount required?

If so, how much does it cost, say for a weeks supply?

Would be grateful for any info on this.

Thanks.
