Tourist Visa In Singapore

Recommended Posts

I searched and haven't seen any recent postings on this topic. Looks like nobody is doing the run to Singapore anymore.

Can any recent visa runners tell me if tourist visas are still free in Singapore? I read that the program was extended until March of next year (2011)

Has anyone recently tried to get a tourist visa there and had problems, such requiring a bank balance or onward ticket?

Oh yes, and I am a UK citizen.

Thanks for your help.

Has anyone tried getting a double entry Thai Tourist Visa in Singapore?

On their web site the requirements are listed:

1. One completed and signed visa application form

2. One recent passport-sized photograph (3.5 x 4.5cm)

3. Passport (valid for no less than 6 months)

4. Airline ticket or confirmation slip with flight number and date of entry/exit

5. Evidence of adequate finance ($1000 per person and $2000 per family)

6. Visa of a third country in a passport or travel document

How strict is the airline ticket requirement? DO they just glance at it or do they take it in with the visa application?

To show "Evidence of adequate finance" is a print-out of an internet banking web page good enough? 1000 SGD is around 24000 THB.
