Phuket Refridgeration Repair

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I would really appreciate if soneone could point me to a quality repair shop for refridgeration. Our Whirlpool fridge has been causing us no end of grief and we are tired of trucking it all over the island and leaving it for extended periods of time only to find the 'repair' is not quite up to professional standards. (Why else would be be drinking warm water yet again?) The Whirlpool website customer service keeps pointing us to 'repair shops' but the problem is the phone rings and rings and rings and rings... Surely there must be some knowledgeable refrigeration repair shop on this island that does service calls?

Many thanks for any suggestions that lead to a successful outcome.

I can't give you the name and number of this refrigeration shop, but, I can give you directions.

From Central Festival junction, take the road into Phuket Town.

Go past the stadium and at the next set of lights, go straight.

At the next set of lights (where the old Esso station used to be), bear right.

You then get to a crossroads. Go straight across.

You are then forced to turn right (at the Chinese temple) as the oncoming traffic in Ranong road is one way.

Once you have turned right, there is a shop on the corner of that road and a small soi, left-hand side about 100 metres.

I know the area so must be close to (before?) the Natural restaurant.

Are you recommending them for any particular reason and do they make service calls to your home?

Seems like not too many folks here have had refridgerator repair work done by reputable shops. Or is that none merit a recommendation?

Over the years I have lived here we have tried repairing fridges at least 4 times. I have tried the manufacturer repair agents in Phuket and I have tried small shops. No-one gives any sort of guarantee, charge plenty, and the repaired fridge(s) only work for a few months. Now I just junk any broken fridges and buy a new one.
