Just wondering where people like to go for a cheapie beer in bangkok or anywhere in Thailand for that matter.

Some of my favorites:

Cheap Charlies of course, just for one. Usually get talking to at least 1 nutter.

The beer garden(sic) outside Panthip. 40 baht for a Heineken and well needed before venturing into the fray. Mind you it makes me a bit aggressive especially with those prats who keep tugging at the your shirts sleeves and whispering "sexy movie - DVD??"

The Riverview guesthouse - best view in Bangkok (apart from Sirocco which is NOT cheap) and 50 baht Singhas (i think).

Horse

There's a place in NEP that does a "happy hour" all you can drink for bt100...

But make sure you get there 15 minutes early to avoid disappointment...
