What Is This Plant

Featured Replies

Hi folks. Couple of years ago a tiny leaf off this plant fell in my handbag while i was in Bangkok. :-) The plant was about 1 meter high, some type of suculent or cactus and growing in a pot at the hotel. Back in New Zealand it grew rapidly but only about 200mm high and produced lots of baby ones along the edges of the leaves. They dont like our winter and die but I have two growing inside. Dont know how to upload a photo so have put it here http://transhelp.net.nz/img/plant4net.jpg Would

love to know what it is if anyone knows. Thank you ...Michelle

This plant is a "ECHEVERIA" variety.

Do a GOOGLE for Echeveria and you'll find the variety you have.

There is even a web-site in Australia dedicated to this plant. Here is the LINK to Echeverias

that is so cool... i also have some of those little baby leaves that we took off a large one of those, at a convent for sisters outside of beit shemesh near my kibbutz... theyve been growing on a plate that we splash water on occasionally... till they are big enough i guess to put in a pot....

never bothred to look them up, just kept them cause they were cute... we will be giving a papaya tree to the convent in the next few months since one 'sister' had lived in thailand and spoke thai so, althoughthey are a silent order, she came to speak to him...

long story for a cactus type plant huh? :))
