Flying To Cambodia

Featured Replies

Can I get a Visa on Arrival in Phnom Phenh if I fly there?

Thanks

Yes you can, a fairly simple form to fill out on arrival,a passport sized photo and 20USD (single entry 30 day tourist visa) or 25USD (single entry 30 day business visa)Usually quick and painless,no asking silly sums of money like at Had Lek/Koh Kong,it's quite an efficient process at PP airport

Thanks

Just don't use an expensive pen to fill out the forms. My first trip there (2006) the immigration officer took a shine to my Montblanc and suggested I might like to make a gift of it to him...rolleyes.gif

I told him it was a gift from my wife and she would never forgive mebiggrin.gif

Alternatively, you can get a Cambodian E-visa online with your credit card. I did this a couple years ago, cost and extra $5, for $25 total, but saved the mad rush and crowd on arrival to the window for the paper application.

The link http://www.mfaic.gov.kh/evisa/ didn't work for me but you can try this one:

http://www.cambodiaonarrival.com/ The cost is $30 ($20 for visa & $10 service fee)

I was just in Phnom Penh a few weeks ago & they are quite efficient at processing visa-on-arrival. The main advantage I believe to the E-visa is you don't get a page taken up by the visa in your passport but not 100% sure.

You can also go the the Embassy on Pracha Uthit Rd. and they'll issue the visa in an hour or so. Bring your photos, fill out the form and they'll tell you to come back in about an hour for your visa. Don't go just before lunch or you'll have to wait that much longer. There's plenty of places to eat in the area while you wait and a couple of driving ranges right down the street if you want to sharpen your golf game.

just the $25 departure tax in PP airport sucks...

Bangkok's Departure Tax at Swampy is baht 700!! But you'll normally not see it as it's supposed to be included in the cost of your ticket.
