CLEVELAND, OHIO (BNO NEWS) -- NASA's Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio was placed on lockdown on Friday morning after reports of a gunman in one of the buildings, officials said.

Katherine Martin, a spokeswoman for NASA's Glenn Research Center, said the incident began just after 9.30 EDT at the center but had few details. "We are looking into unverified reports of possible activity involving a gun," she said.

WEWS-TV in Cleveland reported that gunshots had been fired inside building 77, injuring at least one person. Police did not immediately comment on the situation, which put the entire complex into a lockdown.
