2010-11-07 06:17:52 GMT+7 (ICT)

JERUSALEM (BNO NEWS) -- The Israeli Air Force on Saturday evening targeted two "terror-linked sites" in the Southern Gaza Strip, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said.

In a statement, the IDF said direct hits as well as secondary blasts were confirmed.

Local media reported that one missile struck an underground tunnel near the Egyptian border, injuring one person.

"The targeting of these terror-linked sites was in response to this morning's Qassam rocket fire from Gaza. The rocket landed in Sdot Negev Regional Council this morning," the IDF said.

According to the Israeli military, since the beginning of 2010, approximately 180 Grad missiles, Qassam rockets and mortar shells fired from the Gaza Strip landed in Israeli territory.
