That Time Again, Quick Question Or Two.....

Featured Replies

Have heard reports about 6 months validity of the Marriage Registration, is this true?

What about copies of the affirmation to marry and MFA documents, are they required?

Keep reading on here about people saying this and that are required so just asking the

questions above.

I always take the following:

Passport(picture page, visa page and last entry page)

Departure card TM6

My Tambien Baan

Letter of Income from Embassy

Copies of updated bank book

Photos of me and the missus (Using the same ones as last time)

Map of directions to condo

Her Thai ID Card

Her Tambien Baan

Marriage Certifciate KR3

Marriage Registration KR2

Photo

1900Baht

TM7 printed on both sides

Her indoors as usual

Everything above x2 (except for the missus).....

Will also take the following just as a precaution

Copy of Affirmation to Marry and MFA Document (Originals kept in Amphur)

My information is based on what Phuket Immigration may demand:

Above list is ok, but:

You may well be asked for a 'fresh' Kor Ror 2; you can get such a K.R. 2 print out of the original marriage register entries from Amphur for around 20-50 Baht.

They may well ask for new photos.

They may insist on the map being hand drawn.

Only have read rumours as regards MFA/Affirmation of Freedom to Marry Documents (if you have copies then obviously no harm to take them - but only show if they ask, as we don't want to give them any ideas!.)

Didn't need marriage reg prove in June this year maybe next year don't know yet.

Mine is done at Maesot we ring up now before going, every year to find out what has changed from last year.

The latest thing for us this year was coloured photcopies required not black and white, before they didn't like coloured ones.

Also 4 photos of inside the house together & 4 outside instead of 2 of each last year.

So as l said best to ring the immigration office that you use before you go.

Don't be suprised if they have added something else while you are on your way to em.
