MSNBC to reinstate suspended host Keith Olbermann on Tuesday

2010-11-08 09:53:38 GMT+7 (ICT)

NEW YORK (BNO NEWS) -- MSNBC on late Sunday said it will reinstate host Keith Olbermann on Tuesday, just four days after he was suspended because he had given money to three Democratic candidates.

"After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday night's program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night," said Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC.

MSNBC had originally suspended the host of MSNBC's "Countdown" indefinitely, without pay, citing a violation of NBC ethics policies against allowing its personnel to donate to political campaigns.

Politico reported on Friday that Olbermann made contributions to two Arizona members of Congress and Kentucky Senate candidate Jack Conway.

NBC's policy states that "anyone working for NBC News who takes part in civic or other outside activities may find that these activities jeopardize his or her standing as an impartial journalist because they may create the appearance of a conflict of interest."

You can't imagine how little I care.

Can we have a little less amerocentric news please.

Well, did you know that the recent bankruptcy of Bulgarian road construction company Moststroy will not in any way adversely affect the construction of Trakiya Highway, according to Bulgarian Minister of Regional Development Rosen Plevneliev?

I don't know if Keith will be reporting on that important newsflash once he is reinstated. You can call him via the MSNBC switchboard to ask him.:)

Bulgarian-centrism is a nice counter balance if that's what posters want.
