Two NATO soldiers killed in eastern Afghanistan

2010-11-08 11:14:01 GMT+7 (ICT)

KABUL (BNO NEWS) -- Two NATO soldiers were killed Sunday following insurgent attacks in eastern Afghanistan, the international coalition said, bringing the death toll of foreign soldiers to 626 so far in 2010.

The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force gave no further details on the circumstances of their deaths. Both died in two separate attacks and their nationalities were not revealed, according to policy.

Coalition casualties in Afghanistan have been rising sharply this year, with around 90 service members being killed in July alone. It was the deadliest month for U.S. forces since the war began on October 7, 2001.

On average two foreign soldiers die every day in Afghanistan.
