News_Editor Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Florida house fire kills five children, injures three others 2010-11-09 17:48:29 GMT+7 (ICT) CITRA, FLORIDA (BNO NEWS) -- Five children were killed and several others were injured on late Monday morning when a fire ripped through a home in northern Florida, officials said on early Tuesday. The fire broke out at around 10.30 p.m. EST at a wooden home in Citra, an unincorporated community in Marion County. It quickly spread through the home, catching the residents by surprise. Marion County Fire Rescue said three boys and two girls, all between the age of 6 and 15 years old, were killed in the fire. A 21-year-old woman as well as two other children were transported to an area hospital. The cause of the deadly fire, in which two women were able to escape unhurt, was not immediately known. -- © BNO News All rights reserved 2010-11-09
