Need Plexiglass Cut And Installed Over Screen Door On Terrace Or Put The Screen Door On Inside Of Mini Air Con Terrace So I Can Put The Wood Door Back

Does anyone know who can either get me and install plexiglass or some other type of material that can be put on and removed when needed on our screen door on the mini air con terrace in our condo? We had screens made for the windows and one screen door, took off the wood door, but when we use the air con it gets very hot out there and comes into the living room. So we need some kind of covering for the door when we put air con on and when we don't say remove it, maybe some kind of velcro can hold it on when needed? The screen man now won't come back and take the screen door off and put on the inside of the terrace so we can put the wood door back on and use when we put air con on. I hope this is clear enough? We have did a google and looked in Yellow pages and no one knows what we are talking about or come and give us a price? Maybe get a sliding screen door on the inside of terrace so we can put the wood door back when air con on. We also need tin or aluminum enclosures for the two air conditioners to aim the heat exhaust to the outside which is to the right and left of the two air cons. Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

What?

He took his balcony door off and now it's hot in his room with the aircon on so he wants some plexiglass to velcro into the space where his door was that he made the mistake of removing.

I think?

Balcony is a place to hold two air conditioner condensers outside, with pipes for the water runoff. I had screens put in the windows and took the wood door off and had a screen door put in. Now without the tin or aluminum enclosures outside each air con the heat makes it very hot and I want to get something to cover the screen door.

Something like Plexiglass or aluminum etc that comes off when the air con is not used.

Also would like to get someone to cut some tin or aluminum to go around the air conditioners to get it to come out the balcony.

Sorry if this sounds so confusing. Any help on finding someone to do this work would be appreciated.

Took Balcony door off and replaced with SCREEN DOOR< NOW want something to cover the screen door

when using the air con.

I did write too much and I did put in Screen door, anyway, I know I am an idiot for taking the door off right? is that what it sounds like, only an idiot would remove a door and replace with a screen door right?

Only an idiot puts screens up and opens the window right?

Yeah you guys are right on.

WHat??????

Thanks, very very helpful info,

maybe I just need a new head, or maybe find someone who understands that

when someone writes in for help, they just need sarcasm,

and the definition of sarcasm I was told was tearing of flesh.

WHAT?????

Give me a break if someone knows how to help with this matter I would really appreciate it,

but to get the kind of responses from people who don't give a you know what is

really a waste of every ones time eh?

What????

TOok his door off?

hey why not read what the IDIOT wrote?

ah who has the time, lets just make a fool out of the guy,

and act as if we read it, and make him sound

ok whats the use, it takes all kinds .

Yeah what he needs is a new door, great response

what????

What you need is a new door

Timber door should open into the house and insect screen door opened outwards, seen frequently in movies.

If you are looking for a quick solution, use heavy drapes, 'else, put in a new door as suggested by ukrules with the screen door opening outwards. I hate to imagine the security of your house with only a screen door...:ermm:

thanks for the reply, i rather have a covering for the screen door and by the way, this is not my front door, I guess I am really not communicating this right, so i am about to just give up but to repeat it the best i can, this is a door i had on a mini terrace where I have two air con condensers. I had them moved on oposite sides of the terrace. The door was removed since I had a screen door made, and screens for the window. Since it has been cool I have not used my air con but when I tested it when they moved it, I felt the heat, since they do not have those tin or aluminum enclosurers around the air con condensers. I am first looking for those to aim the heat out of the terrace. I wrote here about getting some sort of a covering for the screen door, with a plexiglass or aluminum that can be put on and off depending on whether I want to use the air con or not.

That is the basic question, where do i get someone to make plexiglass covering for the scren door, or someone to put the screen door on the outside of the terrace opening outside the living room, and then I can put the wood door back on the inside of living room, opening into the living room.

...or someone to put the screen door on the outside of the terrace opening outside the living room, and then I can put the wood door back on the inside of living room, opening into the living room.

A woodworker (one who can do built-in cabinets) can re-install the timber door for you, and the screen door too if it is simply hinged.

Thanks for the reply, however the point is I know that someone can do this a woodworker or whomever, But I am writing for help in finding one.

The point in writing for help is maybe someone knows who can do this for me? I don't understand why people will answer with a maybe someone when the person writing would love the help in finding someone specific that someone might have used or know where to find one. I am not talking down to anyone here, but don't you think that generalities like what one thinks someone should do out of experience is more important in asking for help?

I guess people think that just putting any advice out there is better than straight facts? I know that if I don't have a specific answer based on facts and experience why put something out there for the world and that person to see if it is not helpful? Don't you think? Maybe someone can add this to the way people could respond to questions. I did see allot of cold facts in so many of the Visa questions and other things, but I guess my questions really have not been that important to the general public here in Thailand. Live and learn eh? Cheers and thanks anyway for all your help. I guess I will just keep looking and maybe be more clear in the future in my communications concerning matters of detail?

Op, you have any photos of the door in question?

Anyways, why not put the door back on when it is hot, and take it off when its cool, only happens twice a year-not that much work I imagine.

Stupid me, I had sliding screens put on inside the patio doors when I could have just removed the doors altogether.

As for the air con manifolds, u could try hooking up a big tube of flexible plastic tubing over the fan area and point the other end in the direction of your hot water tank-no sense in letting all that energy go to waste! ;)

thanks for the reply and info. I have some pics i took today for a plastics manufacturer who said he cannot help, suggested Homepro for the plexiglass, they say no have.In the four years here I have never had screens and always use air. Now with the screens this is the first month with windows open. On 15 th floor and tinted windows it is not bad with the fans. Facing West does get hot at times. So far so good. As for putting the wooden door back on, I am sure it might be a little more than twice a year for us but who knows? I have taken the door off and on once or twice so far and it is ok but annoying. I would rather get this screen door put on the outside of the terrace and the wood door back on for when we need it, then we have both. Originally I thought it would be easy to get the plexiglass to cover the screen door both sides maybe with velcro, but no one seems to have a place to buy it. Another screen man told us he could make sliding screens for the outside terrace and is coming tomorrow to see what can be done about putting the door back on and keep both? As for your idea of using the energy, we have no water heaters out on that terrace. Just two air condensers one on either side of the terrace, this is not a normal terrace, lets say it is just a small area with the air con and a drain, and the wife hangs laundry she washes by hand out there. Since we moved the air condensers higher than they were and bought tiles yesterday for the floor and walls, and the opening in front where the air should go out has aluminum bars across it. Most people have very little access to that so called mini terrace, the studios share them and the one bedrooms have it alone. We were thinking maybe put the washer and dryer out there. Sorry for this long answer to your response and thanks again.
